Accessibility Statement
Sol Haven Wellness
Last Updated: May 2, 2026
Sol Haven Wellness is committed to ensuring that our website and digital services are accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We believe that mental health support should be available to all who seek it, and that begins with removing barriers to access from the very first point of contact.
We strive to meet or exceed the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities, including visual, auditory, physical, speech, cognitive, and neurological differences.
Our Commitment to Accessibility
Sol Haven Wellness has taken the following steps to support accessibility on our website:
• Assigned an internal accessibility point of contact responsible for ongoing review
• Incorporated accessibility considerations into our website design and content review process
• Sought feedback from users with disabilities to identify and address barriers
• Provided accessibility training to staff responsible for website content and updates
Measures We Have Taken
Our website is built on the Wix platform, which provides built-in accessibility features that we build upon through our own content and design decisions.
We have taken the following steps within our control to support accessibility:
• All images include descriptive alternative (alt) text
• We maintain sufficient color contrast between text and background elements
• Content is organized with a clear, logical heading structure
• We avoid using color as the only means of conveying information
• We aim to avoid content that flashes or strobes
Our website is designed to be used on modern browsers and devices. We welcome feedback if you experience difficulty using any feature, as some Wix platform elements and third-party tools may have accessibility limitations beyond our direct control.
Technical Approach
Conformance Status
Sol Haven Wellness is working toward alignment with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Because our site is built on the Wix platform, some aspects of accessibility are determined by the platform itself and may be outside our direct control. We actively manage the following within our content and design:
Visual
• We maintain color contrast ratios that meet or exceed WCAG minimum requirements for body text
• We do not rely on color alone to convey meaning
• All images and graphics include descriptive alternative text
• Decorative images are labeled to be skipped by screen readers where possible within our platform
Content & Structure
• Pages use a logical heading hierarchy to aid navigation
• Links use descriptive text that conveys their purpose
• We avoid content that flashes or pulses rapidly
Forms & Communication
• Contact and intake forms use clear, descriptive labels
• Required fields are identified
• Error messages aim to clearly indicate what needs to be corrected
We continue to review and improve these areas on an ongoing basis.
As a website built on the Wix platform, some accessibility limitations exist that are outside our direct control. We want to be transparent about these:
• Wix platform elements such as navigation menus, animations, and interactive widgets may not fully conform to WCAG 2.1 AA in all respects. We have reported accessibility concerns to Wix and encourage you to review Wix's own accessibility commitments at wix.com/accessibility.
• Third-party tools embedded in our site — including our scheduling system, client portal, and any telehealth platform — may have their own accessibility limitations. We are actively working with these providers and can offer alternative access methods upon request.
• Some documents available for download (such as intake forms in PDF format) may not be fully compatible with all screen readers. Accessible versions are available upon request.
We are committed to providing reasonable accommodations for any barrier you encounter, regardless of its source.
